You know Tolteq Group, LLC, (Tolteq) as a leading provider of Measurement While Drilling (MWD) systems and components. What you might not know is that Tolteq isn’t just focused the financial bottom line, we also support our local community.

COOLGiving back is something Paul Deere, President and Founder of Tolteq takes to heart. Causes Tolteq donated to in the past, include a high school Robotics club and a middle school band fundraiser. Most recently, Tolteq participated in two local events: the Vista Ridge High School (VRHS) Science Fair and COOL week – sponsored by the Leander Independent School District (LISD).

In January 2015, Tolteq employees volunteered to judge student science & engineering projects at the VRHS Science Fair. It was our second year participating. Projects were evaluated on criteria assessing the use of the scientific method. Employees brought their expertise and experience to Vista Ridge, interviewing the competitors and rating the designs.

During the Career Opportunities on Location (COOL) week in early February 2015, Tolteq sponsored students from the Leander ISD. COOL Week provides students the opportunity to spend time on-site in an industry where they have an interest in pursuing a career. The experience culminated in presentations, which involved problem-solving and teamwork skills.

It’s a win-win situation for the community and the company. Tolteq employees pass on their knowledge to the students, while students get an understanding of potential career paths and the critical thinking skills necessary to succeed in their chosen fields of study.
