  2.1.3 Issues Resolved: Graphs

  • The iGS and iDGS analysis screen no longer shows pulse state or flow state since pulse state and flow state are not applicable to the gamma module.
  • The gamma icon has been updated to reflect the name change from iDGM and iGM to iDGS and iGS.
  • When graphing survey data, the log survey data has been included with the pulsed data.
  • The Flow Status graph is now displayed as a point graph instead of a line graph.
  • Battery 2 state is no longer graphed to avoid confusion over a battery switch event; however, this information will continue to be logged.

Data/Log Data

  • The SPS now has live Init I (mA) and +5V reading.
  • The SPS now has live temperature reading.

Miscellaneous

  • Several options are now available when exporting to LAS that are compatible with DigiDrill and other logging packages.
  • CSV export format has been changed to be compatible with Mezintel software.
2.1.1 New Features: Graphs

  • The Multi-Var graph log variable selections are now categorized. The variable list shows only the variables that correspond to the selected categories and are captured in the selected run.
  • Added Pull and Hold Current data to the SDU Analyze Log Data screen.
  • Multiple filter variables can now be selected on the log data screen.
  • Some of the graph axes now use logical limits/scales where applicable so the data will appear consistent across multiple graphs.
  • Warnings can now be toggled on or off on the analysis graphs.
  • Log Analysis graphs that contain warnings now show the warning count at the top of the graph.
  • The pulse graphs no longer show pulse warnings with the pulse value by default.
  • Removed Pull from the MCU and iMCU BATV graph.
  • The Depassivation pulses are now displayed on the MCU pulse graph to be consistent with the SDU pulse graph.
  • Graph series line thickness and color can now be customized.
  • The main screens can now be saved to PDF by clicking on the PDF icon.
  • INT I (Internal Current) graph is now available as a standard graph on iMCU’s Analyze Log Data screen.
  • Flow and Vibration graphs now have domain axis label.

Log Data

  • All data except for log data is now automatically saved to the TTD file. The user will be prompted to download the log data.
  • Added Internal Current, Battery Bus Current, Internal Voltage and Battery Bus Voltage to IPS power page.
  • The Log Data screen now remembers the last filter settings.
  • Added Pull and Hold current to SDU/iSDU Power page live data.
  • Power On Reset is displayed in blue on Log Data screen.

User Experience

  • ToolTracker now only requires one registration per computer instead of per user.
  • Files on Start page are now sorted by latest viewed by default.
  • Shows hour glass cursor or status bar when the program is busy, so user will not think that the program is frozen.
  • Better contrast between fonts and background for improved printing.
  • Added a help manual in PDF format which can be accessed from the “Help” menu under “Documentation”.
  • No longer displays error message when the program cannot access the internet while checking for updates.
  • The Pulse Width setting in the Log Configuration screen is now moved out of the Event Log section to above the Est. Log Time since it only affects estimated time.
  • Notepad can now be restored from a previous file.
  • The file listing on the Home screen can is now grouped by serial number and can be expanded or collapsed to make it easier for the user to navigate through the file list.
  • CSV files can now be imported back into Tool Tracker.
  • TTD and CSV files can be dragged and dropped into Tool Tracker.
  • The default data folder can now be set during the software installation process.
  • The log data on the Log Data screen is now displayed as collapsible runs to be consistent with the Log Analysis screen.

Miscellaneous

  • ROTS and RPM log variables now show whether the value is from the Accelerometer or the Magnetometer in the status.
  • The installer will now always check and install the communication drivers if needed.
Issues Resolved: Graphs

  • The pulse and flow graphs now display Pulse and Flow details for all runs.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Run Criteria” button will sometimes be disabled after changing the criteria.
  • The “View Data” button on the Log Analysis screen will select the first log data entry when there is no matching data.
  • The bins in the Shock/Vibration graph on the Shock/Vibration screen are now labeled correctly.

Data/Log Data

  • The log data screen shows the adjusted date in cases where the date was set in the middle of a run.
  • Sensor Coefficients are now exported to CSV files properly.
  • The exported SDU CSV file is now reporting the correct number of pulses.
  • Power page data is now saving to the file properly.
  • The date and time on the Home screen is now showing in Military time format.
  • There is no more blank entry at the beginning of the Notepad.

User Experience

  • Additional actions cannot be clicked while retrieving data from the tool.
  • iMCU/MCU and iSDU/SDU’s Flow on/off times are now consistent with each other.
  • Sorting by date on the home screen file listing now works properly.
  • Splash screen displays current version number.
  • The default Data location can now be set properly.
  • The Shock/Vibration screen will now refresh properly without getting a communication error.
  • When ToolTracker restarts after a software update, it no longer attempts to update again.
  • Screens are now refreshing properly when tools are switched.
  • When switching from SDU to iPS tool, the Flow Switch is no longer showing on the left navigation.
  • Fixed text cut off in text field in the Login Screen for Software and Firmware update.
  • The TTD file is now properly associated with Tool Tracker on new software install. When double clicking on the TTD file, it will automatically open Tool Tracker.
  • Added Tool Tips that display the button usage or purpose for many of the buttons.
  • Progress bar now shows the progress status properly even with small amounts of data.
  • Double clicking on the range axis will now bring up the range edit box consistently.
  • The Tool Tracker application icon on the start menu and the desktop on new installs is showing properly now.
  • Tool Tracker now switches to the correct default screen for the appropriate tool when selecting different tools.
  • Power Page now displays the correct text in the progress bar.
  • Tool Tracker now prevents the user from setting root folder as the user’s default folder since this can cause a permissions error on most systems.
  • The logo image can now be set and deleted properly.
  • Switching tools of the same kind will no longer cause previous tool data to show.
  • The Operating History page now updates properly when the odometers are reset.

Miscellaneous

  • The COM port is now released properly when closing Tool Tracker.
  • After updating firmware on the tool, the correct version of the tool’s firmware is now displayed.
  • Since the log configuration screen has been simplified, the Load Template has been removed, as it is no longer needed.
  • Hardware version number is now displayed properly.
  • The Lower and upper interval for logging limits is now 30s and 60m respectively.
  • When installing Tool Tracker for the first time, FTDI driver will now install consistently.

  • Raw Data Survey:
    • In the MWD Configuration Utility, the Survey Sequence Wizard will have a new
    • “RawSensorReading” field that will automatically add the fields needed for the Raw Data Survey to function properly. (Note: This will work only in the Survey sequence. Inc, Azm, DipA, Gt and Mt cannot be added to the Survey Sequence.)
    • The raw data (Ax, Ay, Az, Mx, My, Mz, Temp) will pulse up from the tool, and be displayed in the Data Table.
    • The values of Inc, Azm, DipA, Gt and Mt will be calculated at the surface and displayed on the Compass Rose.
    • In the Logs menu, there will be a new “View Raw Survey File” option that will generate the raw survey file.
    • The raw data will also be sent to the WITS. The WITS IDs for the raw data are:
      • Ax: 0739
      • Ay: 0740
      • Az: 0741
      • Mx: 0742
      • My: 0743
      • Mz: 0744
    • All data will be present in the Survey Sequence window as well as the Survey Sequence Log and the Data Log.
    • Calculated values will be present in the LAS file.

MWD GUIDE Decoder/Desktop

  • Fixed Restore Default button on Toolface panel of the Options window.
  • Unexpected results appear when there are multiple copies of the LAS Export dialog open. Added check to only allow a single copy to be open at any one time.
  • Added check to eliminate the ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException error message under certain conditions when selecting Compare with Tool option on the Sensor Coefficient Utility.

MWD Configuration Utility

  • Updated default value for Survey Sample Time on Directional Processing Controls panel will be 4.
  • Updated description for the Survey Sample Time on Directional Processing Controls panel to indicate it is not used by the tool.
